SSN Verification
Is your candidate REALLY who he or she says they are ?
When you request a Social Security Number Verification from The Integrity
Center, the report comes to you from the current quarter's master tape from
the Social Security Administration, via the national credit system.

Independently, the national credit system keeps tabs on whether they consider
an SSN number to be verified by requiring two independent credit merchants
to submit identical information at different times for the number.
It is possible, either through fraud or typos, to have multiple people using
the same SSN. Hopefully, the presumptive owner of the SSN is the only person
using the number, but employers want to know. Other users of the SSN are listed as
aliases on the report.
An individual should want to know about his or her own Social Security Number also,
because if someone else is fraudulently using the number, or a keystroke error
has occurred, there could be a serious problem with the SSN account.
